AMP’s Payments and Settlement Engine (PSE) component enables Service Providers to monetize their API services in multiple ways, as well as enabling Service Providers to safely and securely allow application and content partners to bill the mobile network operators’ customers.
PSE allows different business models for API usage to be assigned to each partner and application, according to the SLAs defined within the PME component. PSE supports automated multi-party settlement, meaning that complex business relationships across the value chain can be handled efficiently and easily scaled as the number of partners grows.
PSE supports the operational requirements for a commercial API service, such as subscriber consent and privacy management, spend controls, repudiation management and customer care. In addition to operator billing, PSE supports a wide variety of payment instruments to charge customers, both out of the box and via customised payment gateways.
