Aepona's Customers

Aepona has been chosen for the supply of its Universal Service Platform family to the leading Indian network operator, Bharti Airtel, as part of an 8-year managed services contract. The contract was won in conjunction with Nokia, who is providing the network infrastructure, and IBM, who is acting as prime System Integrator for the project.

Aepona's solution allows Airtel to deliver new Value-Added Services, from voice through to messaging services, across its entire subscriber base, in a cost-effective and highly scalable manner. Aepona's platform sits horizontally across all of Airtel's existing network assets such as circuit and packet switches, messaging systems, location servers and HLRs, leveraging the platform's broad range of pre-integrated network connectors to multiple vendors' systems. This creates a common, converged services layer from which Airtel can rapidly develop and implement new services, dramatically reducing complexity and cost and allowing Airtel to attract new customers and increase ARPU.
